In this drama based on the novel by Gila Almagor, a mother and her daughter attempt to go about their daily lives in the early 1950s after surviving the Holocaust. Ten-year-old Aviya (Kaipo Cohen) and her mother, Henya (Almagor), live in a small Israeli village. Henya continually struggles to escape her nightmares about her past, while Aviya is determined to find her father and wonders if each passing face could be the man she's looking for.
