Slick grifter Orsini (Gary Piquer) and his dubious cohort, Jacob (Jouko Ahola), a huge menacing figure of a wrestler, float from town to town with the perfect scam -- until the good people of Santa Maria turn the tables on the pair and a fair fight threatens to expose the duo. South America in the 1960s is the setting for Uruguayan director Álvaro Brechner's film noir based on the short story "Jacob y el otro" by Juan Carlos Onetti.
