Mathilde (Ximena Ayala) -- a nun who believes fasting will prevent floods -- helps pudgy Linda (Elisa Vicedo) study for her first communion, while Linda's anorexic mom (Elena de Haro) bemoans her daughter's excess pounds and Linda's father (Marco Antonio Treviño) has an affair with a younger, fleshy Peruvian. Intertwining tales of betrayal, religion and eating disorders in Mexico City are served with flair in this meaty drama.
