After becoming parents of twin boys, Pushpa (Saira Banu) and her sightless husband, Kailash (Dilip Kumar), are ecstatic -- then crestfallen when they learn one son is blind. Not wanting the boy to suffer as Kailash has, he asks that the infant be killed; instead, he's sent to an orphanage. As the years pass and the boy's twin grows up in luxury, Kailash finds himself increasingly haunted by the memory of his lost child in this 1976 family drama
