Baker's Hawk

In this family-oriented Western with dual story arcs, 12-year-old Billy Baker (Lee Montgomery) happens upon a wounded hawk and seeks help from crusty hermit Mr. McGraw (Burl Ives), who has a kinship with critters. The two forge a bond as they train the injured bird. Meanwhile, Billy's father (Clint Walker) takes a stand against a group of vigilantes determined to run off squatters -- including McGraw. Diane Baker and Alan Young costar.
