After five Australian journalists disappear in East Timor on the eve of the 1975 invasion by Indonesia, seasoned foreign correspondent Roger East (Anthony LaPaglia) joins forces with East Timor native Jose Ramos-Horta (Oscar Isaac) to find them. With the invasion looming, Roger and Jose, the future East Timor president, become fast friends. Based on true events, this political thriller from Australia was filmed in the actual locations depicted.
