Barbara Frietchie

Just prior to the Civil War, Southern debutante Barbara Frietchie (Florence Vidor) falls in love with Northerner William Trumbull (Edmund Lowe), only to have her beau answer the call to service and take up arms against her native land. But when Trumbull is wounded in battle by her own brother, Barbara risks her life to nurse her beloved back from the brink of death. Lambert Hillyer directs this drama; Charles Delaney co-stars.
