A poet at heart, Pran (Raj Kapoor) sees the beauty in every living thing and takes an introspective approach to life. Meanwhile, his best friend, Gopal (Premnath), couldn't be more different, leaping from one experience to another without reflection. Problems arise when both men fall for the same beautiful woman (Nargis) -- Pran with pure intentions and Gopal with fleeting fancy. Will true love triumph in the end?
