Bashu, the Little Stranger

After young Iranian Bashu loses his family in an Iraqi raid, he stows away on a truck traveling to the north of Iran. When he hops off, he finds himself an outcast in his own country, with his surroundings and even the language foreign to him. He meets a young mother named Naii who takes him in and protects him from the disapproving locals. Though they are from disparate worlds, Naii and Bashu put aside cultural differences and form a strong bond.
