Adapted from Lualhati Bautista's Palanca Award-winning novel, this film presents the story of Lea Bustamante (Vilma Santos), a strong-minded woman marching to the beat of her own drum. As the mother of two children born of different fathers, Lea has lived her life outside the constraints of social convention, but when her former lovers reemerge to stake their claim on their kin, Lea must reassess her principles for the sake of her children.
