When he discovers that his father (Eiji Okuda) is sick with cancer, young Shiro (Akira) tries to cheer up his dad and mend their relationship -- until the boy discovers that he also has an aggressive malignancy that may claim his life before his father dies. Determined not to derail the older man's recovery, Shiro hides the news as he embarks on his own battle with the disease. Sion Sono directs this drama that co-stars Ayumi Ito.
