In the wake of her mother's untimely death, a young Nell Kilvert (Chelsea Hobbs) returns to the beaches of Hubbard's Point, Conn., with her widowed father (Rob Lowe) in tow, both seeking to hold on to their connection with their deceased loved one. Julia Ormond and Cloris Leachman co-star in this made-for-television adaptation of Luanne Rice's best-selling beach read by the same name.
