An inseparable bond develops between a lonely 10-year-old girl (AnnaSophia Robb) and an orphaned dog, Winn-Dixie (named for the supermarket where she found him), who helps her make friends in a small Florida town. The pup not only unites the townspeople; it also helps the girl heal her own troubled relationship with her father (Jeff Daniels). Eva Marie Saint and Cicely Tyson co-star in this family friendly drama based on Kate DiCamillo's book.
