From barkeep to M.D., Ted Danson followed up his success on one long-running sitcom ("Cheers") with -- what else? -- another long-running sitcom, this one about a cranky Bronx physician who's a pussycat at heart. Constantly befuddled by the world around him, Dr. John Becker (Danson) manages to offend just about anyone who tries to get close. Hattie Winston and Terry Farrell co-star, and first-season guest stars include Ray Romano and Bill Cosby.
