Beethoven: Fidelio

Launching the first season of Valencia's new opera house, the Palau de les Arts, this 2006 production of Beethoven's "Fidelio" stars two of Germany's most accomplished singers: soprano Waltraud Meier as Leonore and tenor Peter Seiffert as Florestan. Zubin Mehta conducts this historic performance staged by Pierluigi Pier'Alli and featuring Finnish bass Matti Salminen as Rocco.
