Based on the real-life experiences of Dr. Robert Shushan and James Jones, Behind the Mask depicts the unlikely bond that is formed when two dissimilar men find that they can help each other in unexpected but much-needed ways. Co-written by Shushan and Jones, the story begins when Shushan (played by Donald Sutherland) suffers a sudden heart attack at his clinic, and Jones (Matthew Fox), a disturbed young patient, is there to save his life
