In the early 19th century, John Bell (John David Hart), his wife, Lucy (Donna K. Pearson), and their daughter Betsy (Hope Banks) move to Tennessee. Soon, they're terrorized by an unearthly force that refuses to let the family out of its horrifying grip. Betsy Palmer, Todd Geren and Cody Newton co-star in this dramatization of the shocking true ghost story, the first documented account of a person being killed by a spirit.
