A woman struggles with the tragic death of her husband in this poignant tale. Lost in a world of grief, Molly (Vinessa Shaw) doesn't respond to her family's (Marsha Mason, Edward Herrmann, Ari Graynor) attempts at trying to help her. Instead, she seeks solace by befriending mentally disabled Dennis (Tim Blake Nelson) and his guardian (Tim Daly). The two men understand Molly's suffering, and together the trio finds a way to express their pain.
