Making his film debut in Giuseppe Bertolucci's touching comedy, Oscar-winner Roberto Benigni (Life Is Beautiful) stars as Mario Cioni, a dutiful son who must cater to his needy mother (Alida Valli). Mario's world revolves around his mama, and their bizarre relationship would keep Freud entertained for years. Can poor Mario break free from his mother's apron strings and live a normal life? Carlo Monni co-stars.
