World-famous American composer and conductor Leonard Bernstein pays tribute to classical music legend Ludwig van Beethoven by leading the Vienna Philharmonic in performances of Beethoven's overtures and String Quartet no. 14. In addition to the overtures "Coriolan" and "Leonore," this volume also includes incidental music pieces and the overture from the Goethe play "Egmont."
