Anjali (Kareena Kapoor) is a devoted daughter to her Canadian mom and Indian dad. But she's harboring a secret: She's in love with a singer, Raja (Akshay Kumar). Anjali's not sure her parents would approve of Raja, however -- a fact that's confirmed when she's betrothed to a much older man, whom she marries out of loyalty to her family. Years later, when Raja resurfaces in her life, Anjali is moved to make a painful choice.
