Beyond Paradise

Teenaged Mark (Roy Newton) moves to Hawaii with his recently divorced mother. Although he makes friends and enjoys his new home, he discovers that prejudice and violence exist even in this island paradise when he begins dating a local girl (Priscilla K. Basque). One of the first films to examine contemporary, working-class Hawaiian culture, this film festival favorite co-stars Kalani, Lorenzo Callender and Daryl Bonilla.
