Deep behind enemy lines, maverick U.S. Army Cmdr. Len Jordan (Jan-Michael Vincent), thinks of nothing but taking out the scores of Viet Cong planted along the Mekong River, leading his band of "river rats" on one death-defying strike after another. But when he begins to fall for a beautiful American journalist (Jillian McWhirter), Jordan finds himself thinking about life beyond the war for the first time.
