Raised by apes, the Italian Tarzan, Bingo Bongo (Adriano Celentano), enjoys a quiet life in the jungle -- until he's captured and sent to the Institute of Anthropology at Milan University. There, under the tutelage of beautiful scientist Laura (Carole Bouquet), the quick-witted monkey man rapidly adjusts to his surroundings, learning to function in society and even becoming a professor. Meanwhile, a romance blooms between Bingo Bongo and Laura.
