After two young tribespeople commit suicide, leader Nadio (Ambrósio Vilhava) decides to move his Guarani-Kaiowà community from its federal reserve to the road near a rich farming estate that occupies the tribe's sacred homeland. Tensions mount between the family of the landowner (Leonardo Medeiros) and the indios, and matters aren't helped when the landowner's daughter falls for a young shaman in this gripping and visually striking social drama.
