This classic blaxploitation adventure follows Tommy Gibbs (Fred "The Hammer" Williamson), a street-wise tough who's worked his way up from a shoe-shine boy to a Harlem crime lord with an enormous chip on his shoulder. Gibbs craves a bigger piece of the gangland pie and looks to expand his crime empire with a bloody Mafia takeover bid. But he soon learns that murderers and crooked cops aren't to be trusted.
