Soon after Richard Fordyce (John Turner) engineers his homecoming with his new wife (Heather Sears), their bliss is rudely interrupted by accusations that he's assaulted a young woman who lives near his estate and is responsible for the death of his first wife. Before long, it becomes necessary for him to clear his name or else he and his bride will never find "happily ever after." But spirits from the great beyond have other plans for him. …
