The Civil War may have left Canaan (Armand Assante) nearly blind, but it didn't diminish his gunfighting skills. Traveling through Mexico with a baby he swore to protect, Canaan stops in a small town where U.S. Cavalry officers are delivering a silver shipment. When bandits hold the town hostage, Canaan makes a deal with the officers: He'll save the town if they'll give him 200 pounds of U.S. silver. Elisabeth Shue also stars.
