After emigrating from a tiny Latin American country to the United States, Maria Beltran (Rachel Sheppard) gains fame when she writes a novel about the rampant political corruption in her native land. But a press junket turns into a nightmare when she's kidnapped. Held as a political pawn in an assassination plot, Maria soon finds herself in a horrific world of torture and rape in this tense thriller from Spanish cult filmmaker Jesús Franco.
