Retired spy Harry Anders (Michael Caine) is lured back into the dangerous milieu in which he once operated when he falls in love with the beautiful wife (Sean Young) of an ambassador. When she asks him to help her lose a persistent ex-lover, Anders agrees to a simple blackmail scheme.
