Charged with killing his mother, Archana (Padmini Kolhapure), young Raam (Rishi Bhutani) stops speaking. Investigating police officer Indrajeet Singh Rathi (Om Puri) must determine whether Raam is suffering from extreme shock or simply being uncooperative in this Bollywood thriller. As Rathi questions everyone familiar with Archana and Raam, psychiatrist Dr. N.S. Negi (Naseeruddin Shah) tries to understand Raam's mental state.
