British nobles Lord and Lady Dunsford (Edward Ashley and Hazel Court) journey from England to visit their old friend Ben (Lorne Greene), but the rough-and-ready gang at the Ponderosa has trouble warming to the lord's meek nature. Meanwhile, Lady Dunsford takes a liking to Adam (Pernell Roberts) when she suspects he may be a braver man than her husband. This enduring episode aired near the end of the first season of the great Western TV series.
