Danny (Wil Wheaton), a young insurance salesman, rages at God when his wife is tragically killed on their wedding day. But when a mysterious courier named Jonah (Isaac Hayes) gives Danny a book containing names of people and the dates on which they'll die, Danny faces an extremely difficult choice: using the book for his own financial gain or prolonging the lives of his loved ones -- which in turn would take years off his own life.
