As servicemen on the Yugoslav-Albanian border count down their days of service, a lieutenant fabricates a military crisis to cover up the consequences of his philandering ways in this comedy-drama from director Rajko Grlic. After contracting syphilis, the lieutenant uses a med student recruit to treat the disease and relay messages to the officer's young wife. But soon, love between the soldier and wife blossoms and tragedy looms.
