Centering on father and son cops (Ed Binns and James Broderick, respectively) who share a rough-and-tumble beat in New York City, this small-screen police drama hit the airwaves in 1959. Although their ideologies may clash -- dad is a flinty veteran, and his son is an idealist who believes in the system -- they have a common mission: to rid the streets of crime and bring the culprits to justice.
