A British prisoner in a Romanian hospital/orphanage witnesses unspeakable acts and seizes the chance to do some good in this award-winning drama directed by Maciej Dejczer. Seeking to make up for the wrongs of evil hospital director Sincai (Pete Postlethwaite) -- whose sole focus is selling children and medical equipment for cash -- Brute (Til Schweiger) teams up with a kind nurse and an alcoholic doctor to save the life of a gravely ill girl.
