Enterprising barber Buzz Kurtis (Bud Abbott) and his clumsy sidekick Abercrombie (Lou Costello) give up their Hollywood shave-and-shine business after meeting slick movie agent Royce (Warner Anderson). Their first client is a newly arrived would-be singer named Jeff (Bob Haymes). They succeed in getting Jeff cast in a major film and he falls in love with the leading lady, but another actor interferes, leaving Jeff's new friends in a pickle.
