After finding the titular bundle on the steps of a foundling home, Polly Parish (Debbie Reynolds) can't convince anybody -- least of all her employer (Adolphe Menjou) or his handsome son (Eddie Fisher) -- that's she not the child's mother. Una Merkel and Nita Talbot provide first-rate support in director Norman Taurog's breezy musical remake of the Ginger Rogers-David Niven comedy Bachelor Mother (1939).
