Jack La Rue stars as Red Girard, a bush pilot trying to save his business from being taken over by ruthless rivals. He's also fending off competition for the hand of Hilary (Rochelle Hudson), a schoolteacher wooed by an entrepreneur from the big city. Worried Red will die on the job just like her father, Hilary extracts a promise from him that he'll never carry explosive cargo -- a pact he may not be able to keep if he wants to make any money.
