Unable to save the girl's mother from dying of a heart attack, Dr. Michael Travers (Lew Cody) takes in teenager Judy (Sally O'Neil) as his ward. But after three years abroad, the engaged Travers returns home to find Judy is a lovely young woman, and he begins to fall for her. When he learns she's engaged to his fiancée's brother (Edward Morgan), Travers convinces Judy to delay her wedding -- leading to tragic circumstances in this classic drama.
