While it may lack speaking roles, this silent epic from iconic director Giovanni Pastrone dishes up audible adventure. In the midst of the Punic wars, Cabiria (Lidia Quaranta) and her nurse (Gina Marangoni) are kidnapped when Mount Etna erupts. Cabiria soon finds herself on her way to be sacrificed in the temple of Moloch, where her only hope for rescue is a Roman spy (Umberto Mozzato) and his slave (Bartolomeo Pagano).
