When his mother falls into a coma, Nick Thomas (writer-director Timothy Andrew Ramos) -- a Pomo Indian who's found success far from the reservation he grew up on -- is forced to return to his roots and make amends with his estranged brother (Gil Birmingham). But will turning his attention to family matters, keeping his eye on a developing casino business and finding love with a tribal member jeopardize his life and career in Los Angeles?
