Karen Black is Zee, an insecure divorcee who begins dating an insensitive bachelor named Eli for what she thinks is just a brief fling. Unexpectedly, Zee and Eli succeed in making a connection that each had found missing in all their previous relationships … and oddly, the discovery throws their lives into turmoil.
