Lonny Price directs Patti LuPone and Kristin Chenoweth in Leonard Bernstein's stingingly funny operatic interpretation of the classic satire by Voltaire. Accompanied by the famous Westminster Symphonic Choir, the critically acclaimed performance was filmed live at Lincoln Center. The story's title character is a naive man who follows a stubbornly optimistic philosophy despite a life filled with devastating misfortune and traumatic adventure.
