Written and directed by Philippe Ramos, this imagined prequel to the Herman Melville classic Moby Dick follows Capt. Ahab (Denis Lavant) through the eyes of five key figures in his life, beginning with his surly father and stern aunt. After being rescued by a kindly priest, Ahab learns to fish and becomes enthralled with a whale skeleton he discovers on the shore, presaging the obsession that would dominate his life to come.
