Richard Jordan stars as Joseph Armagh, a poor but determined Irish immigrant who arrives in 19th-century America with dreams of amassing tremendous wealth and influence. In time, his business becomes an empire and his family a dynasty. Ever ambitious, he even plots to have his son elected president of the United States. This epic Emmy-winning miniseries features a star-studded cast that includes Patty Duke, Ray Bolger, Henry Fonda and Burl Ives.
