Drawing from diaries and love letters, this titillating docudrama recounts the libertine life of the so-called "world's greatest lover," Giacomo Casanova (Patrick Bergin), throughout his adventures in 18th-century Europe. The script, a collaboration between writer Gabriel Murray and top Casanova researcher Marco Leefang, offers one of the most historically accurate depictions of the famed Venetian author, adventurer and ladies' man.
