As he prepares to acquire a struggling plastics company, wealthy financier Cash McCall (James Garner) confesses his love for beautiful and outspoken Lory Austen (Natalie Wood), whose father owns the business McCall is trying to purchase. But as the business deal and the romance both progress, Lory begins to wonder if McCall has really put all his cards on the table. Joseph Pevney directs this charming romance classic.
