Based on Seicho Matsumoto's best-selling novel, this taut Japanese thriller follows two detectives (Tetsuro Tamba and Kensaku Morita) as they try to unravel the clues to a mystifying homicide. When the body of a 60-year-old policeman is discovered at a Tokyo railway station, the sleuths are stumped by the well-loved man's murder. But they soon discover that a promising young composer has a few secrets that may answer some of their questions.
