When the mayor's cousin is brutally murdered, Baltimore Deputy D.A. Taylor Lewis (Patrick Bergin) is one of the few who doesn't think it's an open-and-shut case. Spurred on by memories of a previous wrongful conviction, Lewis goes against his boss and everyone else around him to pursue his investigation to the bitter end. Along the way, he finds himself falling for the beautiful suspect (Joan Severance) -- will love blind him to the truth?
